An absolutely stunning display of the Hall and Gardens, which is worth a visit by anyone! We attended the Christmas Market in 2020 and it illuminates the beauty of the place to the full degree. Would be great for a solo trip, a couples getaway or even a family day out. The staff have always been super helpful too!

Upon arriving at the car park at Haddon Hall which has a cost of 3 you then cross the road and enter the grounds of the house through a stone arch and past the well stocked gift shop, just passed there is the kiosk where you pay the 16.75 entrance fee, a little steep I thought... Once at the entrance to the hall there is a toilet block and a reasonably priced restaurant, as you enter the house itself you can see its very well preserved and in very good order given that some parts date back as far as the 12th century, there are multiple rooms to explore including the great hall, some parts of the house are not accessible as the house is now lived in once again, the gardens are particularly well kept and full of colour, we enjoyed our visit and can recommend it if you can swallow the initial entrance fee.

This Medieval and Tudor manor house is an absolute gem. Inside, there is a fine example of a medieval kitchen; and an Elizabethan long gallery - the most modern room in the house! The exterior walls are adorned with climbing roses and there is a beautiful terraced garden. Haddon Hall is a popular choice as a film and TV location. A restaurant and gift shop complete the visitor's experience.

Went there a few years ago but the memory of its quaintness in a beautiful countryside has never left me The most beautiful place in the country, I say. It feels real, authentic and a great step back in history. It's not ostentatious like Chatsworth, has a strange homely feel, the whole place just envelops you from the moment you walk over the lovely bridge over the river to the Hall and a most wonderful courtyard greets you with a chapel to one side with 15 century frescoes. Dark and moody inside, steeped in history, full of artifacts. I would love to live there!! Don't take my word for it, just visit it!

A beautiful building and lovely gardens. The building is so old and so very worn from all the use it has had over the years, it just exudes old from every nook and cranny, even the leaded light windows look like they are going to drop out. The gardens are also a delight. The cafe serves good food and there is a car park. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Our visit was pre-covid.

What a wonderful walk back in time. Lovely gardens, peaceful, beautiful house - where you can see the signs and marks left from the years ... Well-worn steps, flagstones, counters, butcher blocks. You can almost feel the ghosts! Lovely restaurant, too - on the upper level.

Great spot for history buffs. Wonderful art exhibition on too. A little bit pricey 14.50 for entrance and 3 quid for the parking. You get a couple of hours worth here.
