Northumberland Honey are fantastic. If you are looking for a unique gift for those who love honey and mead, or anything sweet and/or alcoholic, this is the place to go. You will not find their selection of mead, honey and other honey based gifts anywhere else, which never disappoint (especially when it comes to taste). Luke and Suzie are fantastic too. I have been ordering products from Northumberland Honey since they began and they have always offered top quality products and customer service. They are always quick to answer any queries you may have, via telephone or email, and always have their customers' best interest at heart. Their method of posting items to you is always amazing and my items have always arrived safe and intact. Northumberland Honey really go the extra mile to provide you with fantastically presentated and delicious products. Can't recommend enough. Top tip: If you can get your hands on their honey chocolates, these are delicious and always sell quickly (so hurry whilst stocks last)

We've been wanting to source and buy local honey for a while and found Northumberland Honey Co. We're definitely not disappointed. We bought the Heather Honey and Wildflower Honey and it is absolutely delicious. Both have very different flavours. We then went back and bought the Sparkling Mead and two boxes of honey chocolates to give away as gifts. Can't wait to share these amazing products with other people.

Very very good service, ordered Sunday, here on Wednesday, and really well packed, thank you.

The mead is delicious. I received a friendly welcome at Luke and Suzie's workshop. My personal favourite is their non-sparkling mead, but for a celebratory occasion it's great to pop open a bottle of delicious bubbly. It's great to support a local business especially the only one to produce mead in the UK with UK honey, and supports the survival of their bees over winter. Looking forward to my next bottle!

There are some products which promise a lot and then don't live up to the marketing, however Northumberland Company's sparkling mead is not one of them. The sophisticated and distinctive labels and packaging is indicative of the very high quality of the sparkling mead this company produces. I have likened it in the past to high-end Champagne (and indeed the process used in the making is the same) but this drink has more subtlety and complexity than any comparable other Champagne or sparkling wine in this or even a much higher price-bracket. The wildflower mead has only the slightest hint of sweetness in the lingering after-taste which evolves from an initially dry and bright, light citrus, through subtle floral notes, until the mildest hint of honey comes through at the finish. The heather mead takes the drinker on a similar journey, but turns the volume up, as it were, on the honey - there is no mistaking the almost peaty heather honey flavour, and it evocatively transports you to moorland and the wide open spaces that Northumberland is famous for, while at the same time putting a warm glow in your mouth. Don't confuse these sparkling meads with fortified, sweet, liqueur-type meads; these are a very different prospect: A much higher class drink, from arguably the best practitioners of their trade.
