Had take away Sunday Roast and it was really lovely. Good portion and nicely cooked. Well worth it...

Never had a bad meal here. Food always outstanding and portions are generous. Always best to ring ahead and book a table as they get very busy.
First time visit. Lovely place, nice people. Maybe we just came on a bad day? Mussels were just awful. I've never tasted anything like it. Liver & bacon, a real favourite of mine, too chewy, not enjoyable. Bass, tasteless with the same sauce as the mussels. Eton Mess - Never had a bad one until today. Not a fresh piece of fruit in sight. Still frozen long life cream/custard (?) with frozen blackcurrants. Staff were lovely, 5 stars, food awful, 1 star. Sadly won't be returning.
We were here many times and always is excellent. Very good hospitality , food and atmosphere. Well done , we will visit you soon.
