Beautiful cosy yet atmospheric place this is. The bar staff & waitresses were fantastic, helpful & had smashing banter and personalities. The decor was superb - very quirky and really added a lot of personality to the place. Converted stables and they’ve maintained the stone archways inside which is fabulous. Prices are so cheap, yet the food is exquisite & delightful. Great food choice and healthy portion sizes - just enough to be full but not over-full which is perfect. We will definitely be coming back here again, lovely. One issue to consider is the lack of parking - you have to park on a residential road, which is okay but it can be a bit tight!

Visited 19.9.20, first day of new lock down rule's. Didn't feel very safe due to groups of people not adhering to social distancing. Manager said new rules were only guidelines from the government? Don't understand why they were not following the guidelines!!!! I wonder why the the case's of Corona virus are rising in Sunderland ?

Nice lunch with friends. Our first excursion since lockdown. Had a nice lunch in this lovely pub. Quiet unfortunately but maybe not so many people venturing out yet. Good quality, portion size, reasonable price and staff very friendly, welcoming we would happily go again.

It was ok. Its a nice pub, been a few times but the meals are nothing to write home about.just average in my opinion
