Puffin Croft is situated at John O'Groats, Caithness, NE Scotland. It is a petting farm meaning that, for a small charge, you can walk around and view the animals which include Shetland ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, geese and rabbits. The farm is well worth a visit by families with exciting opportunities for children to see the animals. Cara Young runs the farm and stocks the farm shop which sells homemade goods made on the farm, fruit, vegetables and souvenirs. I would totally recommend a visit. The farm has a very good, informative website.

Found this place by accident and absolutely loved it! Great place for kids... and adults who love fur babies. The animals seem very happy and well looked after, it was great to be able to feed them. Cotton Tail lane was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen... The shop also stocked lots of delicious local produce. Felt great to support a hard working local business. Best wishes for the future! We’ll be back :)

A welcoming little farm full of happy animals plus a wee shop full of yummy local produce. Your children will learn a lot here, most of all how not to be scared by any animal and how to look after them with Cara, the caring owner who has the gift of happiness in her eyes! We'll return as soon as we can!

Had an unexpectedly great time here. They have a little farm shop where (among other things) you can buy food for the animals. Animals are very friendly when you have food!!! Cash needed, but post office nearby dispenses cash. 2 entry, 1 for a big bag of carrots to feed them. Money well spent!!! They have shetland ponies, donkeys, pigs, goats, rabbits and more!

Great place to stay very clean and Cara was very welcoming, breakfast was great with fresh eggs and freshly made bread. My daughter loved having the Petting Farm next door which was a well maintained farm with well loved animals, she also was loved that there were chickens in the garden roaming free and she loved playing with measles the dog and she is 18 years old. We went to the Seaview Hotel for dinner which was normal pub food and they didn't skimp on the portions, lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. They also had a North coast 500 route sign which we could resist on taking a photo to use when we had finished the route.
