Northlink is running a nice operation with their ferries. We were expecting nothing but the basics (think metal foldout chairs) but were very happy to instead experience a full lounge with comfy seats, a full bar and a decent enough cafe. Would definitely travel with them again if I had the opportunity.
Clean ferry nice helpful staff
Very nice surroundings on ferry. Watched a film on route for about 5 pounds. Very good journey. X10 bus waiting at kirkwall as we disembarked at 11pm
