I always have a good experience dealing with the JP Embassy! Forst when I got my visa 5 years ago and more recently when I was getting my police certificate. Everyone is very polite and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. When I first called up asking for an appointment to get my police check, they told me I would have to wait some time - only ended up being 2 weeks!!

Embassy and consulate is still open for all essential paperwork, visas and passports. They now have an appointment system to reduce amount of people inside, we had appointment at 10am, only other 4 person had appointment at that time as well, by 10:30 we had finished and on our way out. You need to show ID on the entrance and pass metal screening. Consulate opens at 10am.
Friendly helpful and polite staff. Very efficient services as well as a clean and comfortable waiting environment. Top class service!
Beautiful place, great staff! Really recommend the library when it is open again. There is a book on the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both fascinating and terrifying.
My friend, who is an engineer married a Japanese lady, and they now live in Australia. My nephew worked and lived in Japan for two years. My cousin attended a one week study course in Japan. I learned a little bit of Japanese language from a Sri Lankan tutor who conducted some classes during Saturday afternoons. They all talked about Japan being a very friendly, beautiful country.
