Excellent ox cheek! One of the beefiest tasting beef I've had. The calf's liver was excellent too! Really tasty and reasonably priced given the quality and location of the restaurant.

Travelling to west London to dine can be daunting when you live in Shoreditch but the clear influence of St John - a comfortable digestif walk from where I live - on their cuisine and ambience made me feel right at home. This wonderful dining experience was made all the sweeter for being on the eve of yet another ramping up of government restrictions and subsequent restaurant closures. I enjoyed the feeling that I was surrounded by regulars who were on first name terms with the staff, yet as a first timer was welcomed with the same warmth.
Been going since it opened and never a bad meal, also prices seem the same as 10 years ago which is a commendable and outstanding business practise. Our version of St John's on the westside. Amazing
Nice deco and quite good service. The quail was the highlight which was crispy outside and juicy. Food was cooked nicely but unfortunately, lack of seasoning. If they serve a simple menu, it’s important to get the seasoning perfect. Desserts were ok but then again, nothing impressive. Overall it’s a bit disappointing.
British cuisine isn’t just fish & chips. Hereford road one of my favorite restaurant with local cuisine. There is seasonal menu with various game and fish. It’s difficult to recommend something special but if there is a duck leg in the menu it would be a good choice. Also I like apple crumble for the desert.
