Such a remarkable and unassuming pub with plenty of surprises. They serve a very wide variety of drinks including a very surprising and unusual flavorings of different ciders. The selection of food is indeed plentiful and also cooked to perfection. Perfect for lunch or evening meals. Plus live entertainment in an upstairs Ballroom with a fabulous decor. The pub is also is complimented by very attentive staff who will go out of their way to serve your every needs or answer you enquiries, especially the likes of Naz (Bartender) who has been extremely helpful and curtious from our first step inside. A very good choice indeed.

The Food is amazing, Creamy Garlic Mushroom are the best I've ever had. As they usually deep fried, so stopped using them till now. The Pork Belly was lovely..I had this 2 nights in a row, I prefer it with roasted parsnips and carrot, 2nd time came with beans and broccoli. My husband had ribs and said they were delicious. Staff were great friendly. Couldn't do enough for ya.. definitely come back and would recommend to anyone.

Been to the fishpond in Matlock Bath loads, always have the same thing since I'm a vegetarian I am more limited. Tomato and basil pasta, for some reason it wasn't as nice this time though. Bit too much onion. Still good though. Nice popular pub that does good food. Maybe be careful with the taps in the bathroom though, since, after using them, I looked like I'd had a little accident

Cables B&B recommended the 'Fishpond'' so on our first night tried the Italian pizza. Did not disappoint, was lovely, very tasty as were the 'home made chips' rare in pubs nowadays (hate the frozen variety) Also returned the following evening (bank hol Monday) this time for a burger each. Again lovely. Very accommodating. Nice relaxed pub. Sat up on the back terraces. Also dog friendly which was another reason we chose to eat there. Highly recommend.
