I would like to thank Moorland Fuels for continuing to give a professional, reliable, friendly and efficient service in what has been a difficult year for everyone. There has been a member of the team on the phone and ready to help, which makes such a difference in a time where 'live chat' and 'chat bots' are becoming the norm, but are no substitute for a familiar friendly voice. We've found them to be unbeaten on price too. In these changing times it is even more important to support local small family companies which offer exceptional service and who help keep our (sometimes isolated) rural communities together here on Dartmoor.

The staff were extremely helpful and took the time to talk me through the ins and outs of buying fuel. It was lovely to talk to someone who actually cared. They delivered swiftly and sent me a text message the day before the delivery so I knew when it was coming. I will definitely be using them again.

Ordered fuel and asked for a call 1hrs before delivery. Delivery came and I walked out to speak to driver ( social distancing obeyed ) about where to put it, told he had already delivered it To my old tank !!!! Which is now inside my extension.. I was told to call office to get it pumped out. I did also ask why when I paid for 1500 litres and my old tank was only 1200 why he didn’t question it rather than reject 400 litres of my order!!! Anyway 5 hrs later and speaking to 3 people in the moorlands fuel office I had the misfortune to speaking to a man that clearly was under pressure and his resolution was to bill 75 plus vat to remove the oil ( discounted from 250 ) which I said wasn’t right as I asked for a call and never had one , nor was I asked where I wanted it. His reply was that’s the best ur getting from me and and was hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to the owner and was told it’s a family business and he was not going to disclose his role but he would deal with it. I explained that for 10yrs I’ve used them rather than boiler juice ( who were cheaper ) and I got a bombard of why I should support local companies and I’m only interested in price and don’t care where I buy from etc etc. So I explained that I was not using boiler juice And was infact paying more to support local and price has not stopped me using moorland fuel but most definitely his attitude has. which resulted in banning my account and the call ended. No ideal when I have a plumber coming tomorrow to remove the old tank as it’s currently in my new kitchen !!! So there we go , first time I’ve ever moaned on Facebook before and would simply ur guess people to act with there feet on this one. PAY LESS and use Someone else

Really friendly Company. Lady who takes the orders is very helpful and advises what is best for you to get the right order for your fuel. As new customer they even gave me some Money off Vouchers for my following orders - excellent. Would advise using this company to anyone who values good and friendly service. David K Yarnscome. I have recently used this company to move my oil tank to a new location in my garden. Very good service all round from receiving the initial quotation to getting the job done in just under a week! Very happy with the result. Recommended.
