I had a pair of spectacles with Verifocal lenses made here which I recieved today. I am completely new to Verifocals and the Dispensing optician, Catherine was extremely knowledgable, patient and sympathetic to my initial apprehension. She advised me thoroughly and in a simple manner, and put my mind at ease. She was extremely medically knowledgable on my Eye condition and its technicalities, for which I have been a patient at Moorfields over the last 30 years. Also she introduced me to Kodak lenses, which the majority of Independent and Franchise opticians do not have access to. I am sensitive to Blue light due to my eye condition, and the Kodax Blue light Protection coating is amazing and far superior to the other premium brands, such as Essilor, Zeiss and Hoya. Also I have been able to acclimatise extremely quickly to the Kodak verifocals, much quicker than expected, and with no difficulty whatsoever, all thanks to Catherines exceptional advice. Mel, was also helpful and friendly, both on the phone and in the shop. I would reccomend them extremely highly for any spectacles you wanted to get made Dev Mukker

Great place. I have been to a few opticians over the years as my prescription is constantly changing but I have to say this is far better than Vision Express and Specsavers. I had my eyes tested within a day of making my appointment, it was very thorough and they did the checks for glaucoma, behind the eyes, etc. I also then ordered my glasses from there and the staff were more than helpful in choosing a frame that was right for me, in addition to giving me guidance on the right kind of frame due to my high prescription. They then explained the different packages they offer, how much they cost, and when they would arrive. I would definitely recommend here over the other opticians in High Barnet as the former have a high turnover of opticians and in my experience, were not any good. You certainly won’t have this problem here though.

My husband Paul and I have been customers of Specs Direct for many years and have always found all the staff to be courteous and professional. We are impressed with the service offered and always feel we are in safe hands. On one occasion whilst abroad my husband lost his glasses and Chris was most helpful in sending Paul's prescription very promptly so he could get replacement glasses.
