What a great pub! We had a lovely meal there today and really enjoyed the whole thing. As non meat eaters, the menu gave us a good choice. The surroundings were great, with the log burners going; the staff were friendly and efficient, and the pub managed to abide by all the COVID rules but without it spoiling the experience. Thank you very much. We will definitely be back!

Great pub dates back to 16th century with new extension. Always as I have remember 33yrs ago when I was student in Reading. Located off A4047 and the drive there is always rewarding with the great view of English countryside to appreciate. Now with great kitchen and menu. Enjoyed the excellent cooking with my family . Friendly owner and staff, will help me keep my fond memory of the lost and found pub from the bikers club 33 yrs ago.
The most out of the way Inn but so pleased to find it today. Food was magnificent. Highly recommend
A great eating place. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and food perfectly cooked and well presented at a favourable price. Could not fault it in any way. We return regularly, especially Sundays!
Usually pop in The Highwayman for a drink after playing Cricket at the Oratory. It has an excellent garden space out back, which is very pleasant in the summertime.
