This place never disappoints. They serve good dishes for fair rates, there no long wait even when the spot is packed.

British cuisine with a touch of an appealing quality. It is not your humble restaurant, as humble as the historic Elizabeth’s restaurant building suggests. There is a sense of prim and properness to the service, food preparation and it’s interior decor. A soup and bread amuse bouchée whet the appetite before the starter was served. The beetroot fritters were excellent; it was great seeing such an ingenious dish on the menu. The main, the nut roast, may have lacked a piquant of flavour. It was moist and crumbly, the combination of this with the sautéed potatoes and sides of vegetables made for an enjoyable end to dinner.
This place is my preferred one. I visit plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The stuff is very receptive and the food they place on your table is so yummy. I am always happy to have a good dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
We really enjoy dining at Elizabeth’s. Every dish we’ve ever tried has been thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We really appreciate knowing the provenance of our food and this is well documented on the menu. Furthermore, the front of house team are knowledgeable about the menu and they are attentive but not intrusive. We prefer the quieter atmosphere of the restaurant to some of the livelier eateries on the high street. It’s always a real treat to visit - thank you Elizabeth’s.
