First of all, before going here I'd never had a single eye test in my life. Upon arrival all staff were incredibly welcoming and helped ease my anxiety, with extra measures in place to make sure everything was clean (which I was impressed by as they were very thorough!). The optician I was seen by was super friendly and made me feel relaxed, even when he told me I needed glasses! When it came to choosing glasses I had absolutely no clue where to start, thankfully a rather helpful employee helped me and I went with the pair she said suited me. It was safe to say my first experience left a lasting impression on me. Can't thank the staff enough.

I'm writing this complaint on behalf of my mother-in-law who recently visited your store, around the beginning of March. On entry to the store my mother-in-law was greeted with a number of people milling around, choosing frames. This meant she had to squeeze past people. It seems as though the store limits were not being followed. She found the waiting area was too small, no evidence of staff wiping down surfaces on a regular basis. The staff member that served my mother-in-law found was using the details of another person with the same name & birthdate and would not double check the system for address and was rude to my mother-in-law. The fact that name, & address & birthdate was not verified is a clear breach of GDPR regulations. I myself am due an eye-test and had reminders and assurances from yourselves that the shops are CoVid safe. Given the feedback from my mother-in-law this is clearly not the case.

I phoned Specsavers to make an appointment to have my glasses frames adjusted as they were a bit loose told me to come along ,when I arrived i queued outside the store when turn came up I was rudely welcomed by the woman on the front door counter (Covid 19) regulations which is absolutely fine ,I was told I would had to go to the back of the queue as scheduled appointments for eye tests had priority. I waited for another 30 mins for my turn she took my glasses and made no attempt to adjust them and was dismissive saying there was nothing she could. Specsavers are only interested in your money DO NOT EXPECT ANY AFTER SALES SERVICE. l then went on to Vision Express what a difference they welcomed me with a smile and were extremely professional and did a fantastic job adjusting my glasses no comparison. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SPECSAVERS, SHAME I CAN'T LEAVE 0 STARS
