This train is an old huge (38 tonne) steam locomotive which was restored in Essex and now lives outside Stratford station, first unveiled in the 2012 London Olympics. The train, named Robert, was left to rust after being taken out of service in the 1960s. This train has now truly become a symbol of Stratford. As quoted by the Olympics Transport Director, Hugh Somner: "The return of Robert the Engine will mean he can be enjoyed by the community for years to come as a much-loved local landmark".
