Very disappointing company and very bad customer service and super expensive where I had to pay triple of my my usual payment from 22 into 64 bear in mind that I live in a very small one bedroom flat with one little baby also I haven't got most of the main appliance at home such as a washing machine and TV nor tumble dryer. I phoned three times and explained my situation saying that I can't afford this bill and I feel that I am not using as much as they think as well as asked for help into reducing the price, but there was no help they rejected and took the money. overall I feel this company doesn't really care about the customer happiness and they can just leave you upset and disappointed with their harsh attitude or the way they talk and not trying to solve the issue. however I did compare online the energy companies and I did find cheaper ones with good customer service where I decided to switch.

We have recently returned from First Utility whose web site was user friendly, logical to navigate, sent me an email reminder to submit a meter reading and then took the exact amount I owed. So far with SSE; patchy website, couldn't get back to where I was after submitting meter reading; Operator said they didn't have the 'facility' to take the exact amount so I have to pay a set amount then top up to the exact amount, what a faff on, in this day and age ... somebody sort it out ! Going back to First Utility at the earliest opportunity, even if they are a bit pricier.
