Took my glasses back as they were not suitable to wear, was told I could have a full refund. When I asked for one, the woman who served me said I couldn't have one, then tried to book me in for tomorrow, to which I replied I was working, asked if I could go in next week, not sure what hours I'm working. I asked for a full refund again, to which she said I couldn't have one and vision express had it wrong and don't refund. Not the case! I asked again and when I was given a refund, was then told that I'm not able to have an appointment until after covid! I rang and complained to Vision Express, and I was in my rights to get a refund! She then said,you don't like your frames do you? I said I picked them myself, it's the lenses that are not right! Very poor customer service, very rude, felt very upset when I left and will not use them again!

I had an awful experience when Vision Express originally took over this branch. I had had an eye test and contact lens check during the swap over and the optician confirmed she was employed by Vision Express and really it was only the store branding that was awaiting completion. She ordered in various lenses for me as my old ones had been discontinued and said I would get a call when they arrived. After several weeks, I had enough of waiting so popped in. Turns our my lenses had been there for weeks and they just hadn't bothered to tell me. The man I spoke to then refused to let me have my lenses saying that they were not approved by Vision Express and I would need to have another check up. They were there in his hand but he told me they were unavailable! He then had the nerve to try to trade up to new glasses for me. I walked out and made a complaint. Vision Express insisted that I was allowed to have the contacts that had been ordered for me but I never did get them. It ended up being a massive waste of my time. The service was so poor that I ended up telling them to never contact ne again. Guess what? They wrote to me recently to tell me my check up was due! My complaint was never satisfactorily resolved. I will never visit any of their branches again.

5 weeks wait ,no glasses. Spoke with them 3 times asking of whats wrong and they said to wait for sms or phone call. I had previous very good experiance with VE in Cardiff - Queen str and everything was fine. So this depend on branch you are in and machines version/setup they are using cos the ones in cardiff was better for pressure test or field test which was not even necessary to do in cardiff but for some reason was performed twice in Risca to find out that exemined person \is tired\ whatever this means and need to make a third test later date ! Finally contacted coustomer service with complain.

Terrible service. I will never use them again. I stupidly left my glasses at home when I went on holiday abroad to South Africa. I needed my glasses to drive and be able to read the road signs as I was trying to find my way around. I went to a shopping mall and found an Optometrist who could do some cheap glasses for me straight away so I called Vision Express Risca for my prescription. I gave all the details and was told she couldn’t give it to me on the phone but could email to the email address on my account. She knew I was waiting for it. Great! …. Nope, not great. I had to call back several hours later as no email arrived to be told I would have to wait until Monday (it was Friday) as the Optometrist had to sign it and had gone home ill. This is my data for goodness sake. Regardless of this, surely good customer service would be to email me that they couldn’t send me the info, Not leave me wasting a day of my holiday hanging around for an email they had no intention of sending me.
