This restaurant is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The stuff is very warm and the cuisine they offer is so yummy. I am always happy to have a nice meal here. I highly recommend this place.

Quaint, prestigious and humble. The Hengist is Set against the beautiful backdrop of Aylesford. The historic English building within which is complemented by its menu options. English and proud. The food, by pub standards is excellent with a nod to the fine dining experience. It is the service that is by far the most rounded piece of the experience. Professional, warm, timely and consistent. I will happily pop in the next time I’m walking through Aylesford.
We had a fabulous meal there this evening. The Braised Lamb Shank was to die for! Eveeything was perfect from the starters to the mains. The service was wonderful. Especially one of the waitresses, very helpful, happy and attentive. It was my daughter Stevies 19th birthday and at the end of the meal she was surprised with a lovely chocolate brownie, strawberries and cream. Birthday wishes were written on the plate in chocolate. They even put her name on it. Thank you so much, it was a really lovely evening.
Delicious food and a lovely setting. Very upmarket for a reasonable price. Staff very attentive and friendly.
We was running late for our afternoon tea so I rang them. The staff where very friendly , and held our spot , for another 20 mins for us. The atmosphere was very relaxing and chairs where so comfy. We will definitely be returning again. The afternoon tea was an absolute delight you couldn’t fault it. The cakes and scones where so soft and very yummy
