A friendly town centre pub, don't be put off by the dark boring frontage, inside is a unexpected high street oasis. Somehow a nice welcoming pub sits inside, cheap drinks and nice staff. A corner or two can be found where you can sit comfortably and just blend in.

Typical weatherspoons clientele, great for people watching. As long as you dont cause trouble, you can drink until you fall down. Bogs are clean and you can have a line/dump in peace unless its race day.

Came in for me and my fiancee's anniversary meal and we got two burgers which were burned to charcoal. We had to ask to send them back and we then got them back, still burned but not as bad as before. The manager stepped in to help us out and gave us some free drinks to make up for it as well as another staff member named Dan. You cannot beat the service but the food was not great at all. Just a massive shame though as we have been in before and got some really good food. Kinda let us down on such a special occasion.

Been here a few times but think it will be the last for breakfast.Went on Fathers day a 20 minute wait but was understandable that day. All 4 meals were cool went we got them . Burnt toast, eggshell in the fried egg and wilted lettuce on the Eggs Benedict. The price is always good but the quality wasn't up to the normal standards.

Very organised as far as Covid-19 is concerned. Great for early breakfast. Pity about the Tory propaganda on the front door. Nearly put me off my beans...

Staff great, food nice and hot, would have given 5 stars but lack of decaf tea and smoothies and black pudding let it down.

1st time we'd been in since lockdown. Was fine. Tables clean, social distancing and friendly staff.
