Chantry have treated many of my pets for years. They've always been kind and compassionate. The vets talk you through options and I've always been able to claim direct on my insurance when they've been ill which has really helped. I came in recently for my dogs jabs, the vet was friendly, the practice was very clean and the lady on reception was helpful. Would recommend.

The last time I visited was in September last year (2020), sadly it was all for the wrong reasons as we had to say good bye to Tyler. It was a Sunday and a difficult time with everything that was going off in the world. But the staff were amazing, the way they comforted not us but the love that they gave Ty in his final moments was second to none. They didn't treat him like a money maker, they treated him as if he was a member of their own family and I'll always be grateful for that. Thank you Chantry, you are fantastic at everything that you do.

My family has been with Chantry for over 12 years with our family pets and now my own and we have been very loyal with this business. I called (05/02 9:45am) Wakefield reception and was forwarded to a lady (who said she's in the hospital branch) who was so rude to me. I called regarding a spading and from what seemed to her - a call they get constantly. I was constantly interrupted and she seemed annoyed to be on the phone to me and said that I called the hospital and that she had to go (when there is no other option, I kept choosing the \speak to someone at reception\ option beforehand.) I have been calling every couple of months since she reached the age where she could be neutered asking and was told every time to wait for her to go into heat (I couldn't even explain my frustration to her because she kept interrupting saying \yeah well everyone is\ ) Now she is in heat they are saying it is a 4-5 month waiting list and I cant even book in advance and have to email to be put on the waiting list. I understand due to whats happening that there will be a back up but she didn't have to be so rude to me. I asked her for advice on how I could help my kitten during this period and if there would be any increased chance of aggression as I have another adult female cat in the house and she took it as me trying to prioritise her for the operation when I just wanted some advice. I completely understood the waiting list and was not even surprised by it and was happy to wait but after that conversation I decided to move vets. I understand that a hospital will be busy but please don't make your customers feel like they are an annoyance. We are only looking for help, and have been patient all year. Very unprofessional. It upset me enough to switch vets and go to Calder vets instead. I called them and was able to book her neutering within the next 2 weeks and had a much more pleasant conversation on the phone.

Thank you to the team at Alverthorpe for looking after Roxy when she was poorly once again. We were worried her illness was related to the tumour she had last year however vets Francisca, Justyna and Lisa, along with Roxy's favourite nurses helped to reassure us. Roxy is feeling much better despite what her face says!

Friendly, helpful staff, I feel they care about my pet as much as I do. Direct claiming on insurance really helps having an older pet. I recommend to all my friends. Thanks to all.
