Terrible service. I want to report my experience on Wednesday 10/2. I rang the doorbell of the premises in Worle and was greeted by male member of staff. I was in Worle for a medical appointment so was prudent to visit. My glasses that I purchased a while ago from them developed an issue where the lenses kept falling out. I asked the male staff member if I could leave them at the shop to be repaired. He declined by saying ' I have to make an appointment over the phone' After a non sensical conversation I said 'so when I call who do I speak to'? He said well me. He refused to book me in. So, I called the number after he shut the door on me. The phone was engaged then not answered. So, I rang the bell again, he answered and said the phone has not rung! Total nonsense. I pleaded with him to just take my glasses and call me when they are fixed. Again he refused, stating I need to telephone! He offered me a slot in 10 days time to come back. I said I will be at work. again , I said 'can I just drop them off'. He refused. At that point I said ' forget it' This was worthy of a two Ronnie's sketch. I've now been in contact with Specsavers who have obliged. Disgusting service in testing times. I left very upset and vowed never to return. They have lost around 2000 worth of my family business yearly. Well done Bowens, so much for personal service. May I suggest you take notice of your competitors customer service.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I've been going to Bowen's for three years and find the atmosphere welcoming and comfortable. They genuinely want to provide good value. It is very refreshing to go somewhere that offers honest, sincere advice. Spectacles and contact lenses are reasonably priced and better value than the big chains. The personal touch is much appreciated.

I have previously tended to go to the big names in the High Street for my eye tests, at least in part because I thought if I needed glasses their prices were more likely to be reasonable than small outfits. At short notice, I needed an eye test and I couldn't get an appointment quickly, so almost out of desperation I tried my local High Street. By chance I selected Bowen Opticians and I wont be going back to the big names. The staff at Bowen's were friendly, I wasn't kept waiting like I always have had to do for the Optometrist in the past and equally importantly, the glasses were reasonably priced. I have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so. I am a convert to shopping local - it is actually better!
