Had tea here whilst visiting Whitby. We both fancied scampi and we're not disappointed here. Great portion size and options to choose from mushy peas or garden peas. Staff were very attentive and the place was \Covid\ secure. Our seat had amazing views over the harbour too. Highly recommend if you're visiting Whitby! When we come back, we'll visit again.

Stayed here for one night, the room was amazing, lovely views of the harbour, staff very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, food was all home cooked and absolutely amazing. Massive thanks to Laura and her staff for making us feel so welcome. Love Roy and cheryl
What a lovely place.During these strange times,when a pub doesn't feel like a pub,this place was warm and friendly.The table service was very good.The young man(Ben)who attended to us was very attentive.They have a one in one out symptom for the toilet(a little annoying)but needs must at the moment.The food was great.We had a lovely time and will be back
Lovely pub with history. The view to were dracula landed is just at the window. Really friendly staff who sorted us out a table and brought water over to our dog. Although they were short staffed and had a busy day, they all greeted us a smile and little banter. Fantastic.
Fantastic pub. We come to Whitby 3 or 4 times a year and we always make sure we call in at The Duke of York. A real cosy atmosphere and the food is fantastic. The views are great and they have a good choice of beer on draught. It does get very busy, so try to get in before 12:30 if you can.
