This was my first time here and I am in love! The food is out of this world and the service was more than I could have asked for. Lana was so attentive and kind! The atmosphere is inviting and beautiful. I would highly recommend this spot !

Food was good, staff pleasant. Would have gave it 5 stars if the staff were to wear visors or face coverings. Felt a bit vulnerable when sitting at the table and staff being very close when speaking to you when taking orders and delivering the food. Temperature check on entry and hand gel provided at entrance and on each table.
Lurve the decor! Quirky and then some. Is arty, industrial steampunk vibe, all of which I like. Very good covid set up in place, take your temperature as you enter. I could unfortunately only have a cuppa as I hadn't booked and was told I would have to go after about 20 mins. Wasn't too much of a problem and staff were very friendly. However, one of my biiiiig bugbears this, and also with many other folk, judging by the reviews..... a hefty service charge is added on to your bill. It is optional apparently - if you know about it!! But, I asked to settle up for my hot chocolate and I wasn't given a bill. I only realised about the \Slap-it-on-anyway\ service charge when I got home and saw it mentioned on other reviews. I thought it worked out as an expensive cuppa! Bit sly and underhand, I feel, and tipping should ALWAYS be at your own discretion, not by assumption! I last fell foul of this practice at Ask Italian recently. Would I revisit, hmmmm, probably so I could sample a breakfast, but tipping will be at my discretion and not by an establishment's assumption. Be warned diners.
A very good breakfast at a very popular place. Booking in advance is a must due to the pandemic, but I bet before this you still needed to book just because of how popular the place is. Attentive staff and clean tables. We did have to send a glass back twice because of black staining but the staff were right on it. The food was amazing, definitely will visit again when next in York.
Love this place. Fantastic menu, great selection, we had breakfast which was amazing, huge portions and beautifully presented. Excellent efficient service. The decor is very on trend, tables carefully positioned to adhere to social distancing. Highly recommend and would most definitely visit again
