Great gym and good friendly staff

Great gym for weight and interval training, as well as a solid setup for callisthenics. Well managed by friendly staff who know their stuff. Manages to balance between respect for Covid 19 etiquette, without wrapping the place in so much red tape it becomes difficult to access or stressful. Very reasonable monthly membership.

Very disappointed with the service received from the General Manager last night. We booked a court for volleyball and the net was not put up for us, so by the time we managed to sort by having to go and get tools from home as the staff could not help, we were told to take it down! Don’t offer a service you cannot provide please in future. Thank you for refund but also understand we had to pay petrol costs and some of us don’t live locally. Other venues have been very good with assisting and making sure net up before we start.

Used to love coming swimming here, personally I really like the pool. I used to swim here when it was known as Bosqowen (probably butchered the spelling) and used to be a member. To be honest I don't know how it is for anyone with a disability though as I don't remember it being the most disable friendly though I could be mistaken. The gym is alright, though there are better places on Portland to go, but if it's your local or if you didn't know it had a gym then pop on down, it isn't bad by a long shot and it has a fair amount of equipment. The major plus to this gym is that you can go for a shower and swim after which is a lifesaver and super relaxing if you have had a big session. They have different sports that they also do here, but I've never actually given them a go, but it's good to know if you are looking on taking up a new sport, so I'd look into it if you're interested.
