Worked at the Wakefield distribution centre for 5 years ..originally told 3 months temp to permanent....2 years later finally set on(saved them paying out on staff bonus .....). During that time regular 1 to1 appraisals....each time told I was doing well,keep it up etc. When I asked why kept as temp for so long told they thought I was struggling with the workload.(figure THAT one). Then redundancy announced with closure in June 2020..... Had a meeting with HR staff in January.. Told a 'discretionary ' bonus may be payable ,to be agreed..even to staff that left the company in February as an example. Enquired last week and told I would not be eligible as I had left the company before closure of the site(contrary to what was said in January meeting). \Say one thing....Do another\ would be a good motto for this company. On reflection,not a good company to work for(in my experience). Biased management with favourites at the Wakefield depot,staffed by a lot of tale telling,tittle tattling back stabbers(in my opinion) although a couple of people were fine. Sour grapes on my part???? Maybe ,but also my honest opinion based on my personal experience.

Good place to work kills ya legs though lots of walking . Staff realy good people apart from maybe 1 or two enjoyed my time there great money .
