Imagine a four year old car needing one new engine, but three! I purchased an S-max from new in 2016 and was happy with it (it being my fourth one) until when at three years old faults developed and after a number of repairs etc. (No definite fault identified) it required a new engine when beyond warranty cover. It was reported that the bolts in the engine block had sheared and this manufacturing fault probably explained why the engine had never reached predicted fuel economy etc. I was eventually left with a bill of 25% of the costs, four weeks without a car etc. Imagine my horror when the car died again after 6,500 miles on the new engine, to be told that the timing chain had snapped and another new engine was required! Fortunately I had turned off the A1 so was not killed when the engine seized up! After another 4 weeks without a suitable care it was returned, only to break down again after 3,500 miles this time! Again, it is apparently the timing chain and again, I had just (only) turned off the A1 so I was not seriously injured or killed when the engine seized. How is this acceptable, 4 engines in 4 years! An engine per year must be a record for a relatively modern car and Ford do not seem to bat an eyelid or be prepared to engage in a dialogue regarding some kind of recompense for a loyal customer. Will I buy another Ford motor car? Probably not, as I have observed that customer loyalty means very little to this company, even in the context that they could have been facing a wrongful death suit! Woefully, abysmally inadequate throughout!

I really like transit vans, their main downfall is an unfortunate tendency for the chassis to rot away in the later years of their lives, still my favourite large van though. I've had two and done all sorts of things in them! Thank you Ford.
Smooth service, no problem
A lot smaller than it was but they're good people working there
