Bought koi fish from here and always found it to be excellent. Staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Always willing to give advice and feel they go the extra mile so you get exactly what you want. They don't rush you and spend plenty of time assisting you to get the right fish or products

Lovely fish. Quite small facility. But I've just left without a fish, as the manager said they were closing in 30mins, so refused to bowl a fish for me unless I guaranteed I would buy it. All ponds are outside, covered with net, and on a bright cloudy day like today, had lots of reflections on them, so you couldn't see the fish very well. It was an 80 fish. No way I'd buy without a closer look. Crazy. Won't go back.

While they are undoubtedly experts in their field and care for the fish, I'm afraid I felt very unwelcome. Answers to my questions were vague and unhelpful and was told to keep my well behaved children (7&9 years old) away from the fish tanks. I'm a novice who has never owned fish so needed lots of help and advice starting out but instead felt like Julia Roberts on Rodeo Drive.

We (my Father and I) called in today after work, with the intention of purchasing some small Koi. We were naturally drawn to the large Koi in the bottom pond. Out of sheer curiosity, a simple, pleasantly presented question to the fish feeding girl: "How much do the biggest weigh, roughly?" was met with a very terse response: "We don't weigh them, it doesn't work on weight." She then scuttled off as if we were not worthy of her attention! Firstly, My Father did not ask how "it" works, He asked how much they might weigh. A pleasant smile and a response along the lines of: "Sorry I don't know, we measure them but don't weigh them, I would guess that the biggest are around 5 pounds though, what do you think?" would have been MUCH better. Suffice to say, we did not buy from there. We had a nice drive over to Wayside in Oldcotes , and bought some cracking little grade A Koi! By the way, the assistant told me that the larger Koi in the Oldcotes pond where you can actually feed the fish, are well into double figures!

Bought 3 to 4 inch gold fish a few days ago and the woman that served me was great and bowled a few up so I could have a closer look and when they were bagged up she helped me pick the food for the fish and they are doing great now I would certainly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a pond fish

We called at pastures koi on 02/05/16 at 4.35pm. We wanted to purchase several fish up to the value of 100. The unfriendly assistant said the tanks were outside but because they were shutting at 5pm they had already covered some tanks up. She said we could only purchase from the uncovered tanks. These happened to be the more expensive ones. At no point did she offer to take the covers off for us to buy. She hung around which made us feel very uncomfortable. Surely a sale of any amount in this current climate would be appreciated. This unfriendly attitude has put me off returning. My business will go to Wayside Water Gardens in Worksop every time fantastic customer service.

I purchased some koi from these people of eBay. When it arrived it was clearly not the one I ordered I contacted them and they gave me some rubbish reply that it was in fact the right fish but had been kept indoors and it will look like the one I ordered. This was strange as looking at there website all there fish are outdoors ! I knew this was some cock and ball story as I've been keeping koi for over 15 years. 2 years later it's still the very poor example they sent me and looks nothing like what I ordered. Avoid at all costs!!!
